Minimum Broker Requirements
- System Type: RMIS
- Cargo Insurance Required: $100,000
- Auto Liability Required: $1,000,000
- Authority Age Required: 180 days
Standard Carrier Setup Documents
Broker requirements may change periodically. The information below reflects the requirements provided by the broker at the time of writing.
- W9: Must be complete and accurate.
- COI (Certificate of Insurance): Make sure all lines of coverage are active. The expiration date must be after today. If using an Accord format, there must be an insurance contact in the top right.
- COA (Certificate of Authority): Many brokers will require you to upload this document. You will also need to know your authority age and whether you are Interstate or Intrastate.
- NOA (Notice of Assignment): Must have an effective date. Must include the payee bank information, either your factoring company or your company’s bank account information.
- Equipment: Number of tractors. Number of trailers, including the type and size of each trailer.
